Boundary Issues
High Hedges Legislation![]()
We can provide advice on the new High Hedges Legislation, assist in trying to agree a solution about a problem high hedge with your neighbour.
Provided that attempt have been made to resolve a hedge dispute, the legislation allows local authorities to consider complaints under the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003. The local authority can reject any complaint if it believed that insufficient attempts had been made to resolve the matter.
We can undertake a hedge height assessment which is an objective method for assessing whether high hedges block too much daylight and sunlight to adjoining properties following published guidelines, and to provide guidance on hedge heights to alleviate these problems.
Further guidance on the scope of the High Hedges Legislation is available by following the links on the right.
