What is a SBEM Energy Rating

SBEM is the Simplified Building Energy Method for assessing the energy performance of non domestic buildings.

It is a recognised method to assists in demonstrating compliance with the Building Regulations Approved Document Part L2Aor L2B 2006, (England and Wales) Conservation of Fuel and Power.

An SBEM Energy rating is not a design of the heating, ventilation or lighting system, which may be required for more complex building types.

Types of SBEM Energy Rating

We can provide SBEM energy rating for a range of building types utilizing approved interface software.

Our reports provide a SBEM Report, Building Regulation Compliance Summary and u value calculations for the external elements.

Our report will be based upon the construction drawings, construction and heating specification provided and will not involve any design.

Our reports will be based on the current available version of approved interface software. As the software is still under development, the results may contain inherent defects, errors or deficiencies that may only come to light in future version of the software. Our reports are issued on this bases and on the understanding that Building Surveying Solution cannot be held liable for any loss or damage as a result.
